I'm getting married on Saturday and I just got done packing all our stuff into boxes for the wedding planner.  I got it all into 4 boxes!

They are all labeled and everything. i"ve got my master list of items for the planner as well as my seating plan (so she knows which table names go where.)  I just need to put tissue paper in the Bridesmaid gift bags and I'm all set!

I am so glad to be done.

Tomorrow I'm getting my nails done and doing some shopping with Jamie my MOH, whose kitty had to be put to sleep today.  She is very sad.  I sent some lovely flowers.  I hope to make it to the gym as well and possibly a weigh in at Weight Watchers before all the cake!

That's all I have to say right now.  I'll post about the wedding next week.  (not taking the honeymoon until May.)

The USPS now has single stamps made for 2 oz. cards (ie. the invitation with all the inserts).  And I'm so excited because they totally go with our wedding colors.  Yay!!!

There is 144 days until my wedding!  That's 142 days to tie up loose ends and have time to relax before my wedding.  Of course there are the day before the wedding stuff that needs to be taken care of such as the rehearsal dinner, checking my flowers, bridesmaid luncheon ( I think i"m going to have a tea- perhaps in the theme of Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. - making crazy hats that reflect our personalities, decorating with sunflowers etc. and I may send along a copy of the movie along with the invitation. that would be fun.)

I plan to do some wedding stuff today.  Stop by Jerr-a-bell Bridal and look for my shoes.  (I saw some styles online and looked to see what stores they are sold in and Jerr-a-bell was one of them that is closest to me.)  I am looking for shoes with a wider heel (not stilletto thin) because I have to have a 2.5 to 3" heel for my dress to work. I could get away with Silver shoes too because of the silver threading in the bodice and train of my dress.  Or perhaps I should get a bit of a platform that way I can have a lower heel but still keep the dress off the ground.  Whatever they are they must be comfortable!!!!  Even though I am getting Married in March I still want sandles.  (It's Florida so it won't be too cold)

I called Davids Bridal the other day to find out when I should order the bridesmaid dresses.  They said by Thanksgiving would be best.

So I sent out an email to my bridesmaids regarding the dresses.  I haven't heard back from any of them yet.  I sent snail mail to two of my bridesmaids who aren't very good about checking their email.  I have since changed my standing on shoes.  I told them get your shoes wherever you want but please have them dyed as close as possible to the dress color.

We chose the MOH dress yesterday. She's plus sized so we had to do some guessing as to how the bodice would look (since the sample size was even 4 sizes too small for me). But . . . she looks great in a v-neck and the embroidery (which of course you can't see) will look nice against my bodice.
Alfred Angelo - celadon
And she looks fabulous in this color.  It's so warm against her skin.                               Well, it's four members of the bridal party dressed.  The last one is the BM.

Anyone else decided on their shoes yet?  I have so many ideas.  Link to my personal journal to see some of them.

Ack, I just heard from one of the bridal planners at our venue.  It's time to set up the details!  I had called the other day when I realized the other March brides had already chosen cakes and we hadn't.  Well, Shannon called today to let me know they are having a food & cake tasting this Sunday.  And then, we went ahead and scheduled our detail meeting for Nov. 4th (I'd do it next week, but I have to vacate my old storage unit next weekend).  Although, I am forgoing the moving thing for one purpose.  I'll be driving back down to San Jose next weekend for the "Great Bridal Expo" since theKnot sent me free tix por deux.

My FMIL asked me the other day about a bridal shower.  She offered to throw me one out on the east coast of Florida. (Family mostly.  Friends will have another I imagine) Truthfully I hadn't even thought about it.   When should bridal showers take place?  How soon before the wedding? Any thoughts?  My wedding in March 2007

Okay March brides.  We've only got 5 months left (less than for some gals).  I'm beginning to think I don't have enough done.  What does everyone else have done?

Wow?  Is that all I have done?  Tell me, am I very behind?  I guess having a 15 month engagement has made me too relaxed about getting everything done on time (I guess I pulled the reigns in too much since I was afraid I'd get it all taken care of by June '06).  Big Hug
